Columbia Valley
Cordon Washington Wines

Come by on Saturday and try some really delicious wines from Columbia Valley. These wines are all full bodied, show the great quality of Washington grapes and are ready to drink now. They are great for adding a bit of richness to any holiday gathering. Amanda Gerber our local expert on Northwest Cuvee will be on hand to show off the wines. Don’t miss it.

2006 Hightower Cellars Murray Cuvee Blanc - Columbia Valley $16
50% Sauvignon Blanc, 50% Semillon
Murray White is very crisp, grassy white wine typical of Sauvignon Blanc, with the Semillon providing a nice richness to the mouth feel and a good mineral character. Only 190 cases were made of this big white dog, so come lap it up.

2005 JM Cellars Bramble Bump Red, Columbia Valley $18
44% Syrah, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16%Merlot, 10 % Malbec
The Bramble Bump Red was created for early enjoyment and every night drinking.  If you don’t drink every night, the BBR might make you start. The wine is a blend of exceptional fruit sourced throughout the Columbia Valley.  The Bramble has rich dark fruit and plum flavors, smooth texture and just a bit of nice acidity.

2005 Boomtown Syrah, Columbia Valley   $15
A new release from Walla Walla’s Dusted Valley Vintners, the Boomtown Syrah is more easy going than monolithic, with spicy rich flavors and hint of pepper.

2004 Bergevin Lane Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley $20
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot
From this Walla Walla winery comes a really fruit forward and easy drinking Cabernet. The Columbia Valley Cab offers a suave nose and palate of blackberries, sweet dark cherry, vanilla, and hints of chocolate and cassis.

2004 Mathews Claret  $30
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec and 1% Syrah
Each year Matthew Loso separates his Bordeaux varietals into two batches. The first for his high end tannin packed red wine that usually sells for around $60, and the second to make his more early drinking Claret. In 2004, due to the hard winter, Mathew decided to put all the grapes into the claret. The result is a bigger Claret with very dark color, intense fruit extraction and a velvety long finish.
