Waving Tree |
|
Join us this Saturday to try a nice line up of Washington wines from Waving Tree Winery. Waving Tree is a small family winery near the Columbia Gorge in Goldendale that produces about a 1000 cases of wine annually -- mostly solid reds at great prices. With a few notable exceptions they use estate-grown fruit for their production. The grapes grow on the deep sand and gravel soil between the basalt cliffs and the river. Their wines include Rhone and Italian varietals, including sangiovese, nebbiolo, barbera, grenache, as well as cabernet sauvignon and syrah. While the wines don’t mimic their European cousins, they are good examples of what the new world can do. Winemaker Terence Atkins will be on hand to show off his wines and tell you more. |
